400 series engine heater from DEFA for light commercial vehicles (vans)
Grzałka silnika serii 400 dostarczana przez firmę DEFA dostosowana jest do silników chłodzonych cieczą oraz powietrzem, z małą lub dużą objętością czynnika chłodzącego. W naszej gamie znajdują się grzałki do samochodów osobowych, dostawczych, ciężarówek, ciągników rolniczych oraz silników stacjonarnych. Istnieje dziewięć serii grzałek rozróżnianych w zależności od sposobu ich montażu. Grzałka silnika serii 400 o numerze 413734 jest instalowana w przewodzie chłodzenia silnika samochodów dostawczych. Produkt zawiera wszystkie niezbędne elementy montażowe, wraz z pompą wody.
The 400 series engine heaters supplied by DEFA are suitable for liquid and air cooled engines with small or large coolant volumes. Our range includes heaters for cars, vans, trucks, agricultural tractors and stationary engines. There are nine series of heaters distinguished according to the way they are mounted. The 400 series engine heater with the number 413734 is installed in the engine cooling duct of delivery vans. The product includes all necessary mounting parts, along with the water pump.
DEFA engine heaters heat the engine efficiently and effectively. Most heaters are mounted so that the heating element is in direct contact with the coolant and ensures its slow circulation.
The product is protected by a fusible element that burns out when the temperature rises excessively. Burnout can be caused by:
- Coolant level too low (heating element is in contact with air).
- An air pocket around the heating element (heating element comes in contact with air).
- Dirty or contaminated coolant forming an insulating layer (scale) around the heating element, blocking heat conduction.
The DEFA 400 series engine heater can heat the coolant to approximately 50°C above outside temperature, depending on where the heater is mounted and the capacity of the cooling system.
The optimum operating time is dependent on the outside temperature. After 3 hours at -17°C, the system reaches thermal equilibrium, which means that the energy supplied after that time is only for temperature maintenance. Additional heat is emitted to the outside. The DEFA heater can remain connected to a power source without the risk of destroying the heating element, however this will only result in unnecessary electricity consumption.
