DEFA engine heaters heat the engine efficiently and effectively. Most heaters are mounted in such a way that the heating element is in direct contact with the coolant and ensures its slow circulation.

The product is protected by a fuse element that burns out when the temperature rises too much. Burnout can be caused by:

Coolant level too low (heating element in contact with air).
Air pocket around the heating element (heating element is in contact with the air).
Dirty or contaminated refrigerant forming an insulating layer (scale) around the heating element, blocking heat conduction. The 700 series engine heater can heat the coolant to approximately 50°C above the outside temperature, depending on where the heater is installed and the capacity of the cooling system.

The optimal operating time depends on the outside temperature. After 3 hours at -17°C, the system reaches thermal equilibrium, which means that the energy supplied after this time is only used to maintain the temperature. Additional heat is emitted to the outside. The DEFA motor heater can remain connected to the power source without the risk of damaging the heating element, however, this will only consume unnecessary electricity.

The heater is supplied with an additional fluid pump and its power supply and all necessary mounting accessories.
