Engine heater 800 series for VOLVO cars from DEFA
The engine heater of the 800 series supplied by DEFA is suitable for liquid-cooled and air-cooled engines with small or large coolant volume. Our range includes heaters for passenger cars, vans, trucks, agricultural tractors and stationary engines. There are nine series of heaters distinguished depending on the way they are mounted. 800 series engine heater part number 412855 is installed tangentially at the oil sump of VOLVO cars
The product is protected by a fuse element that burns out when the temperature rises too much.
The heater fits cars:
VOLVO:
C30 2.0D 2007> engine code: D4204T
V50 2.0D 2004> engine code: D4204T
V70 2.0D 2008> engine code: D4204T
The 800 Series engine heater can heat the engine oil to approximately 50°C above ambient temperature, depending on where the heater is installed and the capacity of the oil system.
The optimal operating time depends on the outside temperature. After 3 hours at -17°C, the system reaches thermal equilibrium, which means that the energy supplied after this time is only used to maintain the temperature. Additional heat is emitted to the outside. The DEFA motor heater can remain connected to the power source without the risk of damaging the heating element, however, this will only consume unnecessary electricity.
