Description
800 series motor heater for Saab, Fiat, Opel from DEFA
800 series motor heater supplied by DEFA is suitable for liquid-cooled and air-cooled engines with low or high volume of coolant. Our range includes heaters for passenger cars, vans, trucks, agricultural tractors and stationary engines. There are nine series of heaters distinguished by the way they are installed. The heater of the 800 series engine, number 412891, is installed on the oil pan of passenger cars. The product includes all the necessary mounting accessories.
The product is protected by a fusible link which burns out when the temperature rises too high.
The optimal operating time depends on the outside temperature. After 3 hours at -17°C, the system reaches thermal equilibrium, which means that the energy supplied after that time, is only for temperature maintenance. The extra heat is emitted to the outside. The DEFA engine heater can remain connected to the power source without risk of damaging the heating element, however this will only result in unnecessary consumption of electricity.
